It acts as an antioxidant and stabiliser of the cell membrane, protecting it from damage caused by free radicals. It promotes the regeneration of fibroblasts and hence aids skin recovery. It increases water retention, improving skin hydration and increasing elasticity. It also has a gentle exfoliating effect that assists natural skin regeneration.
