KELO-COTE is a patented silicone gel that helps improve the appearance of scars.

Available in 3 sizes:

• KELO-COTE 6g for scars up to 7.5 cm long,
• KELO-COTE 15g for scars between 7.5 and 10 cm long
• and KELO-COTE 60g for scars longer than 10 cm

DESCRIPTION

Silicone gels are the first-line treatment for scars according to current recommendations. KELO-COTE is a silicone-based treatment for abnormal scars. KELO-COTE is clinically proven to help soften and flatten raised scars, while reducing discoloration and redness.

INDICATIONS

KELO-COTE can be used to treat existing abnormal scars or to prevent the formation of new abnormal scars, provided it is applied as soon as the wound has closed or the sutures have been removed. KELO-COTE is most effective on recent scars and on immature scars less than 2 years old.

KELO-COTE HISTORY

Plastic surgeons and other healthcare professionals have been using topical silicone products such as KELO-COTE to treat hypertrophic and keloid scars since the early 1980s (the KELO-COTE formulation was established in 1998). These products are recommended as first-line treatment in international guidelines for linear hypertrophic scars and minor keloids.
